Ever think about celebrating Christmas virtually? I have, so I did some research and decided to write a post about it. Since we aren’t allowed to celebrate Christmas in-person, it’s better to celebrate virtually. So hopefully, this post is helpful to you and your family. Anyway, here’s a list of things to try out this Christmas:
Play games – You can play many fun games virtually on zoom or through face time. Some fun games I like are- Virtual Christmas Trivia, X-mas Mad libs, Two Truths and a Lie. You can also play virtual bingo using these one of these popular online Bingo game/card maker like Bingo Baker or Bingo Maker. You can offer prizes such as online Amazon gift cards.

Enjoy holiday playlists – Create a Christmas playlist by adding songs to music platforms such as Spotify, Pandora, Google Play, and iHeart Radio. Share the link or ask your family and friends what they want to listen to. You can also do karaoke by streaming lyric videos on YouTube with a program like Watch2Gether.
Virtual Secret Santa– No Christmas holiday is complete without a Secret Santa. Here are more ideas on how to do a virtual Secret Santa.
Dress-up – Dress up in different costumes, for example, Santa Claus, an Elf, Mrs. Claus, The Grinch, Rudolph, Cindy Lou Who, Buddy the Elf, A Christmas Tree, or Frosty The Snowman. You can ask the team to vote on the best-dressed participant and award virtual prizes during the online party. Check this link for ideas on to host online parties.
Organize a remote potluck – Ask everyone to prepare their favourite meals, then showcase your meal and share the recipe!
Host a talent show – Ask everyone to prepare a song, dance, or skit. Then give each person a few minutes to perform.
Virtual Christmas cookie ideas – You can decorate readymade cookies or check these ideas for a virtual cookie swap.
Watch a Christmas movie – There are so many different Christmas movies to watch. Some options are The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, Christmas Chronicles, The Princess Switch, Home Alone, Elf, The Nutcracker, Arthur’s
Christmas and much more!

Holiday readings – You can check out reading websites on my post about Summer Reading. Put on an audio book or read a Christmas story to your family.
Charity donations – This has been a difficult year for many. Help those in need. Donate money for a Christmas Charity or any other Charity. You know one dollar can go a long way. Check this site.
I’ll definitely be using some of these ideas this year. This Christmas will obviously be one like no other. I hope this will inspire you to celebrate Christmas in a creative and safe way.
So, which of these ideas are you going to use to celebrate Christmas?
Fantastic, thank you for sharing! I am thinking of organizing a virtual Christmas trivia and an online party with my family and friends.
