Inspirational Quotes

Hi everyone!

With so much going on, I honestly needed some inspiration right now. So I figured, “Why not search for inspirational quotes?” and because of that, I figured, “Why not write a post on inspirational quotes?” I came across a book with quotes written by Maya Angelou. So, here it is.

Maya Angelou, whose full name was Marguerite Annie Johnson, was an American author, poet, screenwriter, memoirist, dancer, actress, and civil rights activist who did many amazing things in her life.

Maya Angelou had a tough childhood because of which she stopped talking for about five years at the age of seven ‘til the age of 12. She only talked to her brother when she felt it was needed. Angelou worked very hard to get over her trauma, but eventually she overcame it.

Maya Angelou wrote 36 books, including the one she was known best for: Her 1969 memoir “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings”. She even published a few cook books. She became the first, very first, black female cable car conductor in San Francisco, America. Maya Angelou changed the world by doing what she believed in.

Here are some of her quotes I liked:

Reading quotes written by Maya Angelou encouraged me to do my best and do what I believe in. My favourite quotes are definitely the second and third ones.

Which one was your favourite? Do you know any quotes that motivate you?

  2. I did not know about her past. She inspired the world with her quotes though she had a toughest past.

“You live, you learn and you upgrade”
“Sometimes you win, sometimes tou learn.”
